WILBER BERG, 80, DIES AT HOSPITAL HERE; HAD STROKE
Wilber Berg, 80, of 1207 North First, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1991, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Berg, a retired farmer, entered the hospital 26 hours earlier, after suffering a stroke.
Rites Conducted
Funeral services were conducted from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel Thursday afternoon (today), with Rev. Robert Patterson officiating. Interment was in Bestow cemetery at Geff.
He was born in Wayne County Oct. 3, 1910, the son of Earnest and Luna Brown Berg.
Mr. Berg was married to the former Mildred Andrews 37 years ago.
He was a member of the Woodland Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister.
The Survivors
Surviving are his wife Mildred; one son, Gerald of Radcliff, Ky.; two step-sons, Ron and Roy Weedon, both of Fairfield; three brothers, Walter, Raymond and John Berg, all of Fairfield; four sisters, Wanda Murphy, Ovella Berg and Alma Smith, all of Fairfield; and Cora Wilson of Eldorado, Ark; five step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
