|View of the broken gravestone of John O. Burnett. The stone lies flat on the ground near the church. The grave is located in the center of the cemetery. There is an empty area in the center of the cemetery with just a few graves, which may indicate there are other graves which are now unmarked. The stone is broken off the base which is nearby. The stone itself is broken in half. There's an indentation in the earth and the bottom half of the stone is discolored, which indicates that at some point in the past, the bottom half of the stone was lying face down. Someone has turned the stone upright and laid it next to the top portion.|
The best that I could tell, the inscription indicates that he died Feb. 23, 1854
Aged 55 years, 5 mos, & 15 days.
