Russian Royalty by marriage to HH Prince Andrei Alexandrovich of Russia. She was a daughter of Fabrizio Ruffo, Duke of Sasso-Ruffo and Princess Natalia Alexandrovna Mescherskaya (1849-1910). Elisabeta had a daughter (Elisabeth Alexandrovna Friederici) from her first marriage to Major General Alexander Alexandrovitch Friederici (1878–1916), they had married in 1907. She died of cancer during the Second World War.
Together with Prince Andrew they had children:
