She was born June 28, 1888, at Hazel Valley, the daughter of Abner Terry and Nancy Jane (Nickell) Shackelford.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Stonewall J. Bogan; three sons and two daughters.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Jackson Bogan; and five daughters, Myrtle Rose Garriott, Edna Alberta kemp, Eithel Maude Earp, Bertha W. Douglas and Ola Juanita Whitlock.

Burial is in Nickell Cemetery, near Durham.
