Ella Tallulah Sessums Ragus was born in 1872 in West Carroll Parish LA, near Floyd. Her parents were Blake Thomas Sessums jr, a Confederate veteran, and Laura Elvira Knapp Sessums. She married George Perry Ragus and they had the following children: Luther B. 1893-1967, Richard I. 1894-1898, Guy Turner 1896-1970, Seddie 1898, Hugh E. 1900-1930, Mallen D 1902-1976, Rita Irene 1904-1982, Arta 1908-1922, Troy Ralph 1910, & Alice Inez 1912-1999. She died in Monroe LA in 1958.
