MSGT Arvill E. Bagley, Sr.,77, of Dalton, passed away Saturday July 10, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was the son of the late, Noah and Emma Hill Bagley and was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Faye Rogers Bagley; son, Robert Bagley; sister, Odell Hayes,and Ruby Lee Cauley and a brother, Tonnie Bagley and an infant baby brother Arvill was a veteran and retired from the United States Navy and the United States Air Force, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam War and a tour of duty in the Korean Conflict. Arvill was a Bronze Star Recipient plus other medals He was a Atlanta Braves Fan and loved racing his stock car in his younger days. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rona and Ken Harrier of Bentonville, Arkansas sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Eugene(Gene)Bagley of Dalton and Arvil E. Bagley Jr. and Kathy of Chatsworth; sister and brother-in-law, AvaNell and Roy Witt of Tunnel Hill; brothers, Donald Bagley of Dalton and Ruben Bagley of Tunnel Hill;brother-in-law John Hayes of Crandal Ga grandchildren, Sellena Bagley of Eagle River Alaska and Savannah Bagley; great-grandchildren, Robert Bagley and Phoenix Bagley;of Eagle River Alaska nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 P. M. Wednesday at Grove Level Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Bridges officiating. An escort from the Funeral Home to the Cemetery was done by the Patriot Guard Riders and Red Knights Motorcycle Club was much appreciated by the family and all his friends Burial was in Sumach-Cumberland Cemetery with full Military Honors.
