Elizabeth Jane Minich was born on 5Mar1844 in Armstrong Co, Pa. She was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Elizabeth(Welder)Minich. She married John Calvin Buffington in Jan.1863.
Their children were Lydia, Wilson, Elizabeth, Mary and William. They also adopted Lyman Schaffer. They lived in Isabella Co, Michigan near their youngest sons for a while. Finally settling in Medina Co, Ohio, near Lydia and Wilson and grandchildren. Elizabeth died from the Spanish influenza on 12May1912.
