Daughter of Robert L. and Edna (Sitton) Blount (who are buried in the Blount family graveyard in Potossi, Missouri). Bernice's mother, Edna, died shortly after her birth. Her father's second wife was Cora Bridges Blount. Bernice died of cancer in 1968. She is survived by a daughter and a son and several grandchildren.
