I adopted Becky from Beagles and Buddies Rescue in El Monte in September of 1998. I don't know her actual date of birth. The rescue part applied to me as Becky rescued me by being a part of my life. I brought her home to meet Barkie II (another Beagle) to keep her company. They were a beautiful pair together. Then Buddy, a Chihuahua, followed us home one cold night in November, 2003 and became a part of our family. I have since gotten Becky II from The San Gabriel Humane Society on August 8, 2009, a little over a month after Becky died. She looks so much like Becky and has about the same temperment. Becky was so loyal. Wherever I was that's where Becky was, too. She was quite the bed hog, but I loved her sleeping up against me. When all three of them were together it got a bit crowded in bed but I wouldn't have it any other way. I called Becky "Sweet Little Becky" as that was exactly what she was. I miss my little girl. I am placing her entry on the first anniversary of her death. But I will always celebrate her Life and the Love she gave to me.
(Becky was transferred to me by David Eastburn so I could put her in our Fur Baby cemetery. She is still his dog but she has other friends with her on the Rainbow Bridge waiting for the day her David will come for her.
