Katie M Berquist died at her home in Lincoln Wed, after a lengthy illness. She was 85 yrs old. She was born in Kenton, OK, on 15 Jul 1897, to William and Alice Potter.
She lived for a time in Texas. She then moved to the Bitterroot Valley and later Missoula before coming to Lincoln where she had lived for the past 35 yrs.
She was married to Eric Berquist on 5 Jun 1957 in Anacortes, WA. Mrs Berquist was a member of the Lincoln Community Church and served as a charter member on the Community Hall Board. She also was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Extension Homemakers Club.
Survivng is her husband, Eric, two brothers, A B Potter of Los Angeles, CA and Maxie Potter of Rigby, ID; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in the old Lincoln Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Abe Grosfield, George Anderson, Robert Aplin, Joe Brunett, Al Burns and Howard Petersen.
