Lulu Mae Leach was born on 29 May 1900 Norman Oklahoma. The second child of Lewis Edward Leach and Betty Bell Hull Leach. She had two sibblings, Eunice Page, and Lewis E. At the age of five her Mother, Father, and baby brother died. She was placed in the St. Joseph's academy for girls in Guthrie Oklahoma. Lulu graduated from the Catholic College as it was called in 1917. She spent her summers in Carbondale, Kansas with family. She went to a business school in Kansas and was employed by the Topeka Tent and Awning Co. When she was 22 she married Kenneth Merle Allegre, son of Charles William Fowler Allegre and Mary Emma Speer, on 30 July 1922 in Central Church of Christ, Wichita, Kansas. They had one child, Jack Kenneth Allegre, born 30 Aug 1925, Wichita, Wichita, Kansas.
She had a brain operation on 5 Mar 1941 in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri.
She died on 16 July 1979 in Waverly, Coffey, Kansas.
