Joseph Prosper Aubin was born 29 Jan,1839, and baptized the same day, in St Barthelemy, Berthier Co.,Que. He was the son of Joseph Alexis Lambert dit Aubain and Emerance (Allard) Aubin. (I have not seen any record, other than baptismal record, calling him "Prosper". MHB)
Joseph married Philomene Carpentier, 17 Nov 1862, at St Gabriel de Brandon, Que. (He was a resident of St Didace at the time.) Their children:
Lina, Mary, Joseph, Malvina, Georgina, Roseanna, Marie, M. Valerie, Lea, Exelina and Delia Aubin.
Joseph Aubin, during his life, resided in St Didace, PQ, and in Greenville, NH, and New Ipswich, NH, USA. His occupation was as a farmer, and as a store-keeper.
Joseph died 2 Sept 1907, in St Didace and was buried there 4 Sept. (1907 Parish Register,S-17, aged 68)
