Grave side funeral services for John W. Bearden were held at the Valliant Cemetery today at 2:00 p.m. and burial was made in the same cemetery with Stufflebean Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Rev. Shultz conducted the service.
Mr. Bearden, 85 year old, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Maddie Ward of Rt. 1 Elmore City, August, 11th.
Survivors include, five daughters, Mrs. Rosie Benton, Arkansas, Mrs. Maddie Ward, Elmore City, Mrs. Sadie Lyons, and Mrs. Evelyn Norwood, both of Arkansas and Mrs. Johnnie Laudermilk, of Oklahoma City; five sons, Tom Bearden, Georgia, Ernest Bearden, Louisiana, Carroll Bearden, Arkansas, Carrie Benton, Right City, Oklahoma., and Roy Bearden, Oregon.

Rites Are Held For John R Bearden
John R. Bearden, Wright City, died at Elmore City this week while visiting relatives.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Valliant Cemetery with Rev. C.M. Choate, Wright City, officiating. Burial was under direction of a Pauls Valley funeral home, and no further information was available.
