She was a turtle I got from a friend at school in the 6th grade. He couldn`t keep it so I brought her home. My Mom went and bought a nice bowl with a sunning ramp and a green Palm tree in the middle for her. Always provided fresh distilled water for her to splash in. She was always active and would respond to teasing her. Every so often I would put her outside in nice weather so she could sun herself. Her favorite foods were small pieces of hamburger, lettuce and the occasional fly. One day I noticed that her eyes were closed shut. We got some drops to put on her eyes but it didn`t seem to help. It was very disheartening, but she seemed to get along okay for awhile. One Saturday morning after doing my paper route I came home and my Mom had went to my room and brought her out and showed me that she was gone. For the short period of time she was here she was the greatest pet to have. I wish I had a picture of her to post.
