Elder Alfred AlJay Anderson, Jr., 80, Lawrence, KS, passed away June 16, 2010 at his daughter's home.
Alfred was born August 29, 1929 in St. Joseph, MO the son of AlJay and Naomi (Hamilton) Anderson.
Survivors include two daughters, Alfreda Anderson, Annette (Ralph) Taylor; and a son, Jerry (Tracy) Colston all of Leavenworth, KS; a sister, Carolyn (John) Galloway, Lawrence, KS; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, four chosen sons and their families; one first cousin, Alpha Thomas, Leavenworth, KS; and a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gertrude Lee; a great-grandchild, Layillah Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at the Pentecostal Church, 1701 Fifth Avenue, Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24 at the church before the funeral.
