Sarcoxie man, 22, dies in traffic crash


Jeffrey Griffith, 22, Sarcoxie Route 2, died at 1:15 a.m. today of injuries received in car-truck accident at U.S. 71 and Route M, three miles south of Jasper.

Born Aug. 29, 1966, in Chula Vista, Calif., he was employed at the Wayside Cafe, Golden City. He attended school at Sarcoxie and was graduated from Descanso, Calif., High School. He attended the Golden City Baptist Church.

Surviving are his father and stepmother Mr. and Mrs. Larry Griffith, Reeds Route 1; his mother Donna Griffith, state of California; a brother Joshua Griffith, Reeds Route 1; paternal grandmother Hazel Griffith, Sarcoxie Route 2; maternal grandfather Robert Parris, Imperial Beach, Calif., and maternal step-grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Henderlite, Imperial Beach.

Arrangements will be announced by The Ulmer Funeral Home.

Services for accident victim Saturday

Sarcoxie - Services for Jeffrey Griffith, 22, Sarcoxie Route 2, who was killed at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 71, south of Jasper, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Ulmer Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Grey's Point Cemetery, northeast of Carthage.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Ted Griffith, Sarcoxie.

Sarcoxie - Funeral services for Jeffrey Griffith, 22, Sarcoxie Route 2, who died Wednesday in a traffic accident mear Jasper, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Ulmer Funeral Home.

The Rev. Charles R. Edward officiated. Miss Betty Anne Wyatt was organist and played as special selections " Amazing Grace " and " Safe in the Arms of Jesus. "

Pallbearers were Donald Griffith, Ken Arles, Darrel Griffith, Frank Masterson, Kyle Lucas and John Johnston.

Burial was in Gray's Point Cemetery.
