Betty Lorene Plumley Basham
LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Betty Lorene Plumley Basham, 71, of Lakewood, formerly of Summers County, died Saturday June 19, 2010 in a Cleveland, Ohio hospital.
Born November 28, 1938 at Glade, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jack Curtis and Goldie May Plumley.
Ms. Basham was a retired waitress at Cluck Restaurant in Lakewood, and was a member of the Church of Christ. She had been a resident of Ohio for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Basham in May of 1986. Also preceded by one brother, Emerson Plumley; two sisters, Erdene Avis and Kathy Pauley; a great grandson, Jeremiah and son-in-law, Terry Wagner
Survivors include one son, Nelson Basham of Parma, Ohio; one daughter, Audrey Wagner of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Elmer Plumley of Warsaw, Ohio, Lee Plumley and wife Polly of Gatewood, W.Va. and Clarence Plumley and wife Jeannie of Charleston, W.Va.; three sisters, Imogene Underwood of Oak Hill, W.Va., Cleo Raeon of Charleston, W.Va. and Lucille Stover of Oak Hill, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Corrine Blackman and husband William and Terry Wagner, both of Cleveland, Ohio; one great granddaughter, Maryssa Angel Blackman of Cleveland, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday June 24, 2010 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor George Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone, W.Va. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
