Jerry L. Kenyon, 55, of Leavenworth, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010.
Jerry was born on July 20, 1954 in Leavenworth to Fred T. Sr. and Silva (Stevens) Kenyon.
He graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1972 and later enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1973.
After returning from service, he was a self employed contractor. Later he worked at the Leavenworth National Cemetery as a groundskeeper. He was a member of the American Legion and a long standing member at Happy Hallow Lake.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1998.
He is survived by mother Silva; two sisters Becky Scanlon and Cindy Ferguson and husband Vernon, all of Leavenworth; three brothers Mike, Freddy, and Douglas Kenyon, all of Leavenworth; sixteen nieces and nephews; and his long time companion Tina DeRemer of Leavenworth.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Belden-Larkin Funeral Home; 707 S. 6th, Leavenworth. Interment will follow at Mt. Muncie Cemetery with full military honors.
A Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial may be directed to the family in care of the funeral home.
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of Food & Fellowship at the V.F.W. Hall following the funeral services.
