METZ, Ethel Irene Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Friday, June 18, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband Ivan Metz, parents, Norman and Salome (Rellinger) Baer, stepmother, Emma (Weber) Baer, siblings, Melvin, Lorne, Nelda Middlemiss, and Reita Spracklin. She will be remembered by her brother Willis Baer and wife Grace, brother-in-law Carl Metz and wife Charlotte and many nieces and nephews. At Ethel's request, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place and Ethel's ashes will be interred in Springcreek cemetery with her husband Ivan. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home , Kitchener (519-749-8467).

This photo was taken just a few days after the funeral service. The patch of discoloured grass in front of her husband's stone is where Ethel's cremated remains were buried.
