Bette L. Muntz, 74, a resident of Skapura Road, Benton, Pa., passed away at her home Thursday, June 17, 2010. She was born March 24, 1936, in Hanover Township, a daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Albertson Price. She served in the U.S Air Force. Bette was employed many years in the garment industry. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Muntz Jr.; son, Earl Evans Jr.; grandchild, Amanda Eberhardt; niece, Linda Brucher; grandnephew, Robert Brucher; son-in-law, Lawrence J. Rasimas; and brother, Eugene T. Price. Surviving are her daughters, Sherryl A. Evans, PA-C, Benton, Pa., and Bonnie S. DiRodricco, Plymouth; sons, John Muntz and wife Linda, Nanticoke, and Eugene C. Evans, Hot Springs, Alaska; grandchildren, Dale Eberhardt Sr., Jesse Rasimas, Tara DiRodricco, Zachary Brown, Elizabeth Rasimas Brown, Katlyn Evans, Dakota Rasimas, Dina Rose DiRodricco, John M. Muntz, Amy Groner, Elwood Groner and Ervin Weaver; great-grandchildren, Jillian Eberhardt, D, Angelo DiRodricco, Kara Rasimas and Jaiden Rasimas; and niece and nephew, Russell H. Belles and wife, Mary Jo; grandnieces and grandnephews, Tod Belles, Jodi Belles, Chris Brucher and Mike Brucher; as well as sister, Madeline V. Belles, Shickshinny, and special friend, Lady B. Muntz, Benton, Pa. Everyone on this earth has a mother. Some of us are lucky though and have the honor of being a child to a mommy. One who lets you be 12 years old way beyond those years. One who loves you unconditionally. Your best cheerleader forever, and one who is always there for you no matter what. Up until a few days ago, mine was still here on earth, to smell, kiss, laugh and cry with and just to talk to. Now I only hope she is where she is suppose to be, enjoying eternal happiness. Maybe dancing on the moon, but I do know she is dancing. I will miss and love her forever! Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Clarke Piatt Funeral Home, Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Rd., Hunlock Creek, with Pastor Scott Lyons officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Military Services will be held graveside by Shickshinny American Legion. Interment will be In Maple Grove Cemetery, Hunlock Creek.
