Robert Hilary Balderson, 76, husband of Barbara (Kamen) Balderson, of 455 White Oak Gap Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He was born Dec. 26, 1933, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late Raymond Henry and Thelma Buena (Sheaffer) Balderson. Mr. Balderson was a veteran of the U.S. Army; he served in Korea. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Western Electric. In addition to his wife, family members include four brothers, Raymond Henry, Richard Hugh, Ronald Harrison and Robin H. Balderson; a sister, Judith Helaine Schied, all of Maryland; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at a later date. There will be no public viewing. Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, P. O. Box 937, Verona, VA 24482. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
