Irene Bender, 90, whose stepdaughter, Belva Patterson lives at Ossian, died April 5 at Englewood, Fla., where she resided. Formerly of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Bender worked at the Undergarment Co. and the Fort Wayne State Development Center. In addition to the stepdaughter at Ossian, she is survived by her husband, J. Louis; a son Milton F. McCormick of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Dorothylou Wolford of Englewood; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. A son, Darold, died in 1996. There will be no services or calling. Arrangements are by the National Cremation Society at Port Charlotte, Fla.
