FALMOUTH — Katherine L. "Kay" (Pagnotta) Marella died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, on the eve of her 99th. birthday. She was the wife of the late Frank E. Marella for 54 years and had been a resident of JML Care Center in Falmouth for the past 10 years. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Ventri) Pagnotta, Kay had been a resident of the city for most of her life before moving to Falmouth.

Her career was devoted to the jewelry trade and had worked at Gurney Brothers in Brockton for over 25 years and also at Wyman and Chateau Jewelers. She had been a member of the Brockton Women's Club and the Italian Women's Club. She enjoyed her garden, home and time spent with her family.

Kay is survived by her two daughters Carolyn J. Glauben of Pembroke and Judith A. Snelgrove and her husband David of East Falmouth. She was the sister of Margaret LaFleur of West Bridgewater and the late Leo, Lawrence and William Pagnotta and Mary Taxiera. She also leaves five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Route 123), Brockton on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 11 a.m. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kay's name to the JML Patients Activity Fund, 184 Ter Huen Dr., Falmouth, MA 02540.
