Jeremiah Green Chambers is named as a grandson of John Adkeson/Atkinson in his 1823 will from Pike County, Ohio. James Cotral, testified to the qualifications of the heirs of John Adkeson when his will was probated on 23 Sep 1823 in Pike County, Ohio. In this will, John Adkeson also bequeaths to his son-in-laws, Samuel Gilliland, William Strange, Levi Davis, John Johnson and daughters Elizabeth and Judith Adkeson. A Catherine Adkeson signed the probate but her relationship is not mentioned.

His parents appear to be Henry Chambers and Sarah "Sally" Atkinson married on 24 Oct 1816 in Pike County, Ohio. Both must have died young as they are not mentioned in John Adkeson's will but Jeremiah Green Chambers is mentioned as a grandson.
