Alta L Frieze

Alta L. Frieze passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010. She was born on July 8, 1926, in Stockton, Mo. to John C. and Mabel L. Brown. She married Joe B. Frieze, October 13, 1945. They had two children: Mark and Stacey. Alta graduated rom Central Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She impacted the lives of many children and their families while teaching in various country schools in Dade and Cedar Counties, private kindergarten at the Stockton United Methodist Church, head start and kindergarten at Stockton R-1. Alta was a very loving and caring to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant sister, Stella Brown; brother Alden Brown and sister, Mildred Rucker.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; son, Mark and wife Sheila Frieze of Stockton; daughter, Stacey and her husband Jerry Gibbs of Park City, UT; sister-in-law, Nancy Brown of Stockton; sister-in-law, Janet and husband Joe Neill of Bolivar; nephews, Michael Rucker of Yorba Linda, Ca. and Jonathan Neill of Gilbert, AZ. She is also survived by grandchildren, Erica Stoddard, Erin & husband Monty Hillsman, Dillon Frieze, Nicholas Gibbs and Chelsea Gibbs and great-grandchildren, Madison Stoddard, Graci Stoddard, Cali Hillsman, and Clay Hillsman.

Services will be Saturday in the Stockton United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. with burial in Stockton Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
