Carrol Burton Reisetter was born on Saturday; September 3, 1921 to Archie and Percy (Bergeson) Reisetter. Carrol grew up near Radcliffe, Iowa. Carrol graduated from the Radcliffe High School with the Class of 1940. Carrol was a Rural Letter Carrier for over 30 years and past president of the Iowa Rural Letter Carriers Association. Carrol served in Japan during World War II, and was proud to be a participant in an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. last April. Carrol was an avid golfer, a story teller and he loved to play cards. He and Thora enjoyed camping and spent winters in south Texas during their retirement years. Carrol was married to Thora Mae Thompson for 67 years. They were faithful members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, Iowa, all of those years. In December 2008, they moved to Northwood, Iowa.

Carrol Burton Reisetter, age 88, passed away on Monday; June 7, 2010 at the Albert Lea Medical Center in Albert Lea; Freeborn County, Minnesota after a short illness. Those left to mourn his passing are: His wife: Thora of Northwood, Iowa. His sons: Tom (Doreen) Reisetter of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Dick (Carolyn) Reisetter of Savannah, Missouri and Bill (Susan) Reisetter of Jacksonville, Florida. His one daughter: Susan (Dick) Sandera of Northwood, Iowa. His six grandchildren and his five great-grandchildren. His brothers: Gene (Lois) Reisetter of Grinnell, Iowa and Howard (Naomi) Reisetter of Story City, Iowa. His sisters: Phyllis Oakland of Story City, Iowa and Joyce Hughes of Mitchellville, Iowa. His sister-in-law Cleone Reisetter and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Carrol was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Don and his brother-in-law: Hank Oakland. May they rest in peace. May God bless his memory and give strength to those that mourn.
