William M Bost, Private, Company B, 7 Regiment North Carolina Infantry (State Troops). Appears on Company Muster-in and Descriptive Roll of the organization named above, from Cabarrus County. Roll dated Camp Mason, Alamance County, Aug. 21, 1861. Mustered into service of State of North Carolina Aug. 21, 1861 to date.

William was born in Cabarrus County, NC, and was 18 years old; occupation was farmer; height was 5' 7 1/2."

William was enrolled for active service on July 12, 1861 in Cabarrus by R.S. Young. He was present on Aug 21, 1861 at Camp Mason and was mustered into service by W.G. Robinson during the war period.

Enlisted on July 12, 1861 in Cabarrus County, NC by R.S. Young during the war. He was last paid by Major Boone on Dec. 31, 1861.

William M Bost died in hospital at Goldsboro 15 April, 1862.
