MRS. BURCH, 84, DIES IN HOME OF DAUGHTER HERE
Life Long Resident of County Succumbs to Heart Trouble

Mrs. Nancy Harriett (Sparks) Burch, 84, a life long resident of Monroe County, died at 10:45 o'clock this morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Troy Thrasher, 808 Hunter avenue. Death was due to heart trouble and followed an illness of about two weeks.

Mrs. Burch was the widow of Hiram Burch, former well known Indian Creek township farmer, who died February 14, 1930. Mr. Burch had retired a few years prior to his death.

The deceased was a member of the First Baptist church, of this city.

Besides the daughter in whose home she died, Mrs. Burch leaves five other children. They are: Marion Burch, ex-treasurer of Monroe county, and Virgil Burch, of this city; Mrs. Roland Holmes, of Springville, Mrs. Laura Baker, of Axtell Kansas and Manson Burch, of Madison Wisconsin.

The body will lie in state at the home of Mrs. Thrasher, 808 Hunter avenue, pending the making of funeral arrangements, which will be announced Friday.

STEALEY CONDUCTS MRS. BURCH RITES

Funeral rites for Mrs. Nancy Harriet Burch were held this afternoon at two o'clock from the First Baptist Church. Dr. S. L. Stealey, pastor of the church, conducted the services.

Pallbearers were Charles Thrasher, Clifford Burch, Carl Burch, Wendell Homes, Russell Burch and Lowell Thrasher, grandsons of the deceased.

Flower bearers were four granddaughters, Mrs. Melva Cannedy, Marie Thrasher, Mr. Delpha Payne and Vernice Burch.

Interment was made in Rose Hill.

MRS. NANCY BURCH ESTATE TO CHILDREN

The will of the late Mrs. Nancy Burch was filed for probate in circuit court this morning. Manson Burch, a son, who was named as executor, resigned in favor of his brother, Marion Burch, former county treasurer, and the latter was named by Judge Donald A. Rogers as administrator of the estate.

Under the terms of the will, the property is divided equally among the seven children, Marion, Manson, Walter and Virgil Burch, Mrs. Edna Holmes, Mrs. Rosie Thrasher and Mrs. Laura Baker. The estimated value of the estate is about $3,000.
