She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Thomas Arney of Chicota on March 7, 1980; three children Lawrence Odus Arney, Von Malcolm Arney, and Phara Beatrice (Davis) Layton; two grandsons Buddy Arney and Phillip Nolan Arney; sisters Emmaline Farmer, Mittie Gentry, and Beatrice Overstreet; brothers Lonnie Booth and Weldon Booth.
She is survived by children Nathalie Blackburn of Fort Worth, Nolan Norris Arney and wife Julie of Plainview, Hollis Lynn Arney and wife Ann of Cameron, Freda Vanderburg and husband Dewey Wayne of Austin, Beth Parson and husband Billy of Belk, and Glenda Jean Arney of Austin; a daughter-in-law Lillie Arney of Georgetown; 24 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Arney was a creative housewife, gardener and skilled seamstress. She was a Christian with membership in the Chicota Holiness Church.
