James Foster Miller, 74, of 238 S 9th St., former assistant district manager for the Prudential Insurance Company, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Anthony Hospital at 7:45 a.m. Saturday. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of World War I Barracks, Elks Lodge No. 86, Greenup Masonic Lodge and the Greenup Presbyterian Church. Surviving is the widow, Violet. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Bedino Peace Chapel with Rev. Bert Clark officiating. Burial will be in York Cemetery in York, Illinois. World War I Barracks 912 will hold military graveside rites and friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday.
