Enid Louise (Shannon) Ferrell was born on September 12, 1915 in Holmes County, Mississippi, and she was the daughter of William James "Jim" Shannon (1853–1917) and his 2nd wife Mary (Long) Shannon (1875–1948).
She was married to Homer Vardaman Ferrell (1911–1989), and he was the son of Thomas Jefferson Ferrell (1881–1970) and Fannie Estelle (Dickard) Ferrell (1882–1974).
A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Holmes County, and living in Magee, Simpson County, Mississippi, Enid was 82 years old and a widow when she died on November 30, 1997 at Magee Hospital.
Survivors included a son in Magee, brother Kimbrough Shannon of Jackson, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral Services were held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, and burial was in that church's cemetery at Tolarville, Holmes County.
