Charles Gerwick, 73, 1422 Avenue "C", Kearney, Nebraska died at a local hospital Thursday morning, where he had been a patient six days.

Born at Barada, NE, he had farmed north of Odessa, until moving to Kearney three years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Mary, three (3) sons, Vern of Louisville, KY; DeVere of Seward, NE; and Carl of Wichita, Kansas; eight (8) grandchildren, two (2) brothers, Fred of Los Angeles, California; Henry of Snyder, Nebraska; five (5) sisters, Mrs. Lena Beckman of Pasadena, California; Mrs. Anita Carmichael of Nemaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Kate Hitt of Elba, Nebraska; Mrs. Rose Kaufman of Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. Hattie French of Minatare, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., at the Anderson-Johnson Mortuary, with Pastor Max Heinz of the Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Kearney Cemetery, Kearney, Nebraska.
