Services for Lillian Bullock Newman, 72, were held at First Baptist Church in Abilene officiated by Dr. Bill Bruster. Mrs. Newman was a graduate of Graham High School and Baylor University in 1940 where she received her BA in business and education. She and her husband moved from Graham in 1951 to Abilene. She taught algebra and math at Jefferson Jr. High in Abilene for many years and was a certified life underwriter. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a long-time worker in the youth department. She played piano for the third-grade Sunday School class. She was a service member of the Fidelis Sunday School class, a volunteer worker for the Girl's Auxiliary, and an active member of Baptist Women.
Survived by two sons - Sarge Newman and Dick Newman; one daughter - Kerry Neman; one daughter-in-law - Cathy Newman; one sister - Ina Mae Guinn; two grandchildren.
