Daughter of Ernest and Irma (Frederick) Reiter.
Attended school at Lower Buckeye District 97; graduated from Kearney High School, 1943; graduated from the Omaha School of Telegraphy, was employed by Western Union in San Francisco transmitting messages overseas to the troops during World War II.
Returned to Kearney, was employed at ABC Drug and Nebraska Public Power; retired in 1983.
Married Robert Galvin.
Married: Aug. 24, 1952 to Kenneth Beahm in Kearney.
Activities: member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney; enjoyed playing piano by ear, watching birds, camping, taking boat and car rides, and spending time with family.
Survivors include: husband; sons, Lorin Galvin of Omaha, Donald Galvin of Falling Water, W.Va. and Steven of Kearney; brothers, Stanley Reiter of Grand Island, Bruce Reiter and Irving Reiter, both of Kearney, and Larry Reiter of Virginia Beach, Va.; and sister, Eloise Einspahr of Booneville, Mo.; daughters-in-law, Carol Galvin of Falling Water and Camille Chevez of Kearney; sisters-in-law, Gwen Reiter and Marie Reiter, both of Kearney, Kathy Reiter of Virginia Beach, Lois Johnson of Hastings and Beverly Stout of Thornton, Colo.; brothers-in-law, Clete Corlis of Greeley, Colo., and Glenwood Einspahr of Booneville; grandchildren, Vance Galvin and Staci Drayton, both of Lancaster, Pa., and Jennifer Platford of Omaha; special friend, Lola Mae Johnson of Kearney; a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
