THE LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois Co. MO, Fri. Oct. 2, 1931100th ANN. CHURCH CELEBRATION OCT. 11The Providence Missionary Baptist Church, better known as the Germany Church, located three miles west of Bonne Terre, will celebrate the one hundredth anniversary of the organization of the church on Sunday, Oct. 11, 1931. The anniversary sermon will be preached at eleven o'clock, and a basket dinner served at twelve o'clock. At 2:00 p.m. a talk will be given on the old time churches.Bring your basket and enjoy the day with old friends. Highway 67 South to 47 West on 47 to House Road. Turn left on House and follow around. Cemetery is on left side before back entrance of Terre du Lac If you pass Terre du Lac you have gone to far. There is another Germania Cemetery in St. Francois Co. MO. It is near Doe Run. There is a transcribed copy of this cemetery in the Farmington Library and it gives the following directions:Take Highway W west out of Doe Run, Mo. to Vandergriff Road. Turn right onto Vandergriff Road and go two miles to Arnoldi Road. Turn right on Arnoldi Road and go three-tenths of a mile. Cemetery is on the left. I think there are errors in the cemetery census merging the two individual cemeteries wrongly.
