Ethel Evelyn Lackey, 74, has passed on to a better home after her battle with cancer this past Tuesday, April 27, 2010. She was born August 4, 1935 to Charles Harold and Laura Estel Yarwood.

A mother figure to so many more, her love and support will never be forgotten and has already laid the foundation for the teachings to our future generations. Her level of compassion and understanding is rarely met.

Her legacy will forever carry us through the darkest times, support our weakened souls, and allow us to better help those less fortunate.

We will always love the hallowed soul that is a sister, wife, mother, and life long friend.

Ethel leaves her husband of 57 years, Richard; children, Kimberley, Michael and Charlie; and grandson, Jason; brother, Robert E. Yarwood; sister, Helen Kehl; brother-in-laws, Louie E. Kehl, George Seamans, William Powell Lackey, and Charles Eugene Lackey; sister-in-laws, Sally Yarwood, Janice Faye Lackey, and Marilyn Sue Lackey; son-in-law, Thomas Woodward; and the rest of our wonderful family that were her joy to spend time with.

Ethel was preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Charles Edward Yarwood; sister, Hazel Estel Seamans.
