Ruby Anderson , 75, was called to join her Heavenly Father Sunday, July 15, 2007. She was born Monday, Nov. 23, 1931, to Lee Hardy Nipper and Gurthia (Plunkett) Nipper in Plunkettville. Due to the death of her mother, Ruby, at the age of 5, went to live with her uncle and aunt, Joe and Luna Gray. She graduated from Smithville High School in 1949. She then moved to Durant and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University earning her certification in medication administration. Ruby was a certified nurses aide and certified medication aide. She was a dedicated caregiver and homemaker. She married Charles Lee Anderson June 11, 1951, in Durant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband July 1992, brothers Bobby Nipper, Junior Nipper, Hoyte Nipper and W.A. Gray and sister Verda Gray Sherman.
She is survived by brothers Tommy Nipper, Copperas Cove, Texas, C.L. Nipper, Watson, Billy Joe Nipper, Watson; Norma Taylor, Durant, Murble Pickens, Watson, Grace Paquette, Dallas, Texas, Orene Jones, DeQueen, Ark., Corene Paige, Smithville, and Janell Kline, Smithville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Watson Cemetery, Watson. Rev. Tim Bowen will officiate.
