Dorothy Elsie Eppley Crone was the wife of William Clayton Crone. They were the parents of Fairy June Crone and Pauline Emma Crone Roach. They had four grandchildren: Joanne, Kennith, and Karl Roach, and Janice Roach Rexroth. They also had three great-grandchildren: Jason Roach, and Martin II and Marlyse Rexroth. Dorothy was the daughter of William H. Eppley and Ida Crone Eppley. She had many siblings: Tancie Eppley Leas, Charles and Raymond Eppley, Mary Eppley Jacobs, Mellie Eppley Klepper, Grace Eppley Anderson, Russell Eppley, Vergie Eppley Graffius, and Preston Eppley.

It was fun to be with grandma. We picked many boxes of raspberries over the years. She taught me the nursery rhymes and the fairy tales. We colored together and played many games. She allowed me to do things at her house such as washing floors and sewing on her sewing machine which I was not allowed to do at home. I must admit that I was "gradma's little girl." I miss her very much.
