Mrs. John C. Vincent, 68, a resident of Andrews for the past six years, died at 6:15 am Friday in Permian General Hospital here following a brief illness.
Funeral services are pending at Singleton Funeral Home here.
Mrs. Vincent was the wife of the custodian at the Commercial State Bank in Andrews. She was taken from her home to the hospital a few hours prior to her death. A former resident to Roosevelt, where she lived for 10 years, Mrs. Vincent was a native of Erath County.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, C. W.(Charlie) Vincent, Andrews; two daughters, Mrs. Jim Akin, San Diego, Calif. and Mrs. Andre Truden, Ely Nev; eight sisters, Mrs. Lois Greer and Mrs. Una Pendleton both of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Henry Roberson and Mrs Quida Lundy, both of Arlington, Mrs. Bertie Inabnett, Stephenville, Mrs Bill Malone, Brady, Mrs. Elmer Harris, Abilene, and Mrs. Lena Davis Lewisville, Tx. Granny is buried beside granddad at the Old Andrews Cemetery.
