Obituary in THE POST AND COURIER, Charleston, SC, 31 Aug 1994: Eloise Livingston Brodie, 85, of Charleston, a retired employee with the Charleston Naval Supply Center, died Tuesday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Brodie Cemetery in Springfield. Mrs. Brodie was born in Livingston, a daughter of Jacob S. Livingston and Ida Gleaton Livingston. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church and was the widow of Dell R. Brodie. Surviving are two daughters, Janice B. Tharp and Betty B. Blayton, both of Charleston; two sisters, Virginia L. Chaplin of Neeses and Salome L. Fulmer of Springfield; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
