Obituary - Annabelle Johnston, 88 Annabelle Johnston, 88, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at the Bingham County Extended Care Facility. She was born Aug. 21, 1918, in Blackfoot, Idaho, the daughter of George E. and Alma Brown Obershaw.
Annabelle lived her entire life in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She also attended one year of business college in Pocatello.
On Aug. 3, 1940, she married James D. Johnston in Idaho Falls. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1952.
Annabelle worked at the Wagon Wheel Cafe, Westinghouse in the accounting department for five years, and as secretary and assistant manager at Bingham Memorial Hospital for 30 years.
She is survived by her son, James D. Johnston II of Blackfoot; daughter, Della (Rolland) Harris of Featherville, Idaho; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hiatt, her parents and a brother, Roy V. Obershaw.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 at the Grove City Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1 - 1:45 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. before going out to the cemetery.
