Phyllis J. (Carlson) Anderson was born on Wednesday; November 28, 1928 in Chicago; Cook County, Illinois. She was the daughter of: Benjamin and Ruth (Sunling) Carlson. Phyllis moved to Clinton in 1938 with her family. She graduated from Clinton High School. She married Lorin Anderson on August 18, 1956 in Clinton; Clinton County, Iowa. Phyllis was a homemaker and worked as a nurse's aid at Jane Lamb for several years. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where her ministry was sending out cards of encouragement to all. Phyllis J. (Carlson) Anderson, age 81, passed away on Tuesday; May 4, 2010 at the Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her two daughters: Gayla (Anderson) Aszman and Tammy Sagers, both of Clinton, Iowa. Her Ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. her special friends: Connie and Apryl Schmitz of Clinton, Iowa. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, and great grandson. May they rest in peace. Visitation will be from: 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday; May 10, 2010 at the church. Funeral services will begin at: 11:00 a.m. also on Monday; May 10, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Clinton, Iowa. Interment will be at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery in Clinton, Iowa.
