This precious baby girl, named Sherry, wasn't strong enough so she went where she would always be strong and healthy. She became and angel shortly after her birth.

I had been going to the cemetery for several years, taking care of the babies graves and I hadn't met too many of the parents. Most of the children passed away many years ago and don't have many family visitors.

"Baby Girl Collins" had just a very sweet, handmade stone marker that showed just her name and the year 1964. Then, one day I was told that this Angel would be getting a new marker. I looked every day and finally, I was so lucky to drive up and see her Mom and Dad standing by her grave! I was so happy to finally meet them!

Mom (Pat) told me all about her little girl and told me that her name was Sherry. So now I had a name to go with the Angel! Pat and her husband, Glen are so incredibly sweet and gentle. We exchanged contact information and I know we became friends that day. Pat was wearing 2 angel pins on her shirt. One, she told me, was in honor of her son Troy, who passed when he was 14. The other was for her baby girl, Sherry. She took Sherry's pin off and pinned it onto my shirt. She said "I've had this for many years and now I want Sherry's "other Mom" to have it.

I accepted that little pin with such joy and pride! I am honored to be part of this wonderful family.
