He served during World War II, Korea and VietNam. After retiring from the Marine Corps, he was one of the first Sky Marshals and then worked for 10 years for the U.S. Customs Service.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; his daughter, Helen Bowlin; his two sons, Steven Christensen and Chris (Patricia) Christensen; and six grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held at 4:30 P.M., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ and an Inurnment ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ on Friday May 7, 2010, at 10:30 AM. Donations may be made to the Marine Corps League, White Tank Mountain Detachment, P.O. Box 8252 Surprise, AZ 85374.
