Beulah B. Barnhill, 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. She was born August 7, 1918, in Cashmere to John and Bertha Brisky. Beulah was the last surviving child of 12 children. She married Floyd Barnhill on December 30, 1937, in Ellensburg, WA. They settled at Floyd's father's ranch, known as Cherry Spring Ranch, where they raised five children. Beulah was an expert gardener, as well as an accomplished seamstress and loved knitting and crocheting. She and Floyd fed many family members and field hands from the produce from her garden and the cattle, sheep and chickens they raised. Beulah always loved having company and all were always welcome, at any time. The ranch was the place for many family reunions and many happy memories. There was always enough food on the table and proper thanks was always given as a testament to the lives she and Floyd lived. Beulah had an unshakable faith in God and now will rest beside her husband, waiting for the coming of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband; one son and daughter; and three grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and George Peterson of Ontario, Canada, Shirley and Von Corbaley of Cashmere and Nancy and Gene Vadnais of East Wenatchee; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Beulah's Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Church of God Faith of Abraham in Wenatchee. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the Service at the church. Please express your thoughts and memories on the online guest book of jonesjonesbetts.com.
