Michael A. "Schoeny" Schoenberger, age 66 of South Hazel St. Upper Sandusky died at his residence at 6:54am on Sat. May 1, 2010.

He was born on Dec. 14, 1943 to the late Galen and Catherine "Katie" (Predmore) Schoenberger. He married Penny E. Cowan on July 25, 1992. He is survived by a brother Ed (Rita) Schoenberger, Forest and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Schoenberger was a 1962 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and then served in the 179th Airlift Wing Mansfield, OH Air National Guard where he was a Master Sergeant Load Master on C-130 Hercules Aircraft. He served our country during numerous operations and deployments.

Mike was owner/operator of Schoenberger Electric Motor Service. He was a member of The Shadow Flight, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, American Legion Post #225, Moose Lodge #1093, VFW Post #2842, and had served on the Wyandot County Museum Board. He was president of the Schoenberger family reunion committee. He enjoyed remodeling his home, sailing, camping, hiking the Appalachian Trail & was looking forward to his 3 week hiking trip.
