Rebecca Trew Berry, 96, died Sunday, January 21, in Senior Village Nursing Home in Perryton.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, in First Baptist Church , with Dr. Keith Bruce, pastor, officiating.

Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.

Mike Berry and Anne Lara, both of Wellington are her grandchildren.

Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.

Mrs. Berry was born February 1, 1893 in Joshua, Texas.

She came to Wellington approximately 75 years ago and moved to Perryton in 1980.

She married Tom Berry in 1915 at Wellington. He died in 1976.

Mr. and Mrs. Berry and their children lived in the House Log area and also had other farming interests in the Rolla/Swearingen area many years, then moved to their farm east of Wellington.

Mrs. Berry was an active worker in church and community affairs.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Betty) Cudd of Perryton; two grandsons, Tom Cudd of Perryton and Mike Berry of Wellington, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Nick (Anne) Lara of Wellington.

There are two great grandchildren.

Her son, James Benton Berry, died in 1967.
