Talmadge Brooks "T Bear" Alford of Holly Ridge, NC, died Wednesday, June 17, 1998 at his residence.
Mr. Alford was born in Wake County, NC, on April 27, 1937 the son of the late Maltis Sidney and Lilly Taylor Alford. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mabelle Richardson, Nona Mae Lynch and Edna Earl Alford; also two brothers, Douglas Alford and Herbert Forrest Alford.
Surviving are his loving wife of 41 years, Jo Perry Alford of the home; two daughters, Talmsi Alford Schultz and husband, Bobby of Scotts Hill, NC, and Kimberly Alford Jones and her fiance, Ricky Andrews of Holly Ridge, NC; three grandsons, Rob Schultz of Scotts Hill, Taylor Jones and Hunter Jones both of Holly Ridge; three sisters, Mary Earp of Raleigh, Sue Bunn and husband, Connie of Zebulon, NC, and Frances Jenkins of Wilson, NC; a brother, Jessie W. (Jack) Alford and wife, Lydia of Wilmington, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, 1998 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Rev. Curtis Campbell.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, in Zebulon Town Cemetery, Zebulon, NC.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday at Andrews Mortuary. Market Street Chapel.
