Surviving him at the time of his death were his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Welborn and Mrs. Elvira Collins, both of Liberty; three sons, Willie Gilstrap and Robert Gilstrap of Pickens and Henry Gilstrap of Big Estatoe; 32 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
His funeral was held Friday, June 8, 1956 at
the First Baptist Church in Liberty, conducted by Rev. A.B. Couch.
Burial: West View Cemetery, Liberty.
