The funeral of School Commissioner Edward A. Burke took place yesterday from St. Vincent's Catholic Church. Solemn High Mass was celebrated by John D. Boland. The pall-bearers were William Henry, Thomas Philbin, Frank Dugan, George W. Trumbo, William F. Malooly, Christin Bitier, John Quinn, Timothy Malooly, Dr. Thomas Kelly and Michael Brennan.
President John T. Morris and a delegation from the school board were present, as well as a delegation from various societies, of which Mr. Burke was a member. The burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Henry W. Mears conducted the funeral services.
